Q: None of my Excel formulas seem to work?
A: It can depend on your version of Excel and your settings, whether formulas use the comma (,) to seperate arguments, or the semicolon (;). Excel gives you a suggestion once you start typing =IF( for example. You can spot the commo or semicolon directly.
Q: What to do if I have the Dutch (or other language) version of Excel?
A: That's a good question. It's answered in the Startup tips
Most Office-installations are in the language of your computer, and that is usually fine. In the case of Excel, it means that all the functions--like SUM, AVERAGE, etc.--cannot be used like that. They have a localized name on your computer, like SOM, GEMIDDELDE-- in the case of Dutch versions of Excel. There are roughly two solutions:
1. Work with your version of Excel Google for the function names, i.e., how they are called in your language.
2. Install another version of Excel, or work on another computers.
Q: I am new to Excel/VBA. Where can I get a good introduction to VBA?
A: Are you sure you did not miss the introduction to VBA mentioned on the first page of the VBA section? The video is really good, from Leila Gharani.
Q: Where can I learn more about VBA?
A: Check out youtube. In my (AS) experience, you only learn VBA by doing. Just try to solve a problem and Google for tips and techniques.
Q: I think there is an issue with the Test
A: Please check the latest version, changes are highlighted in yellow (if any).
